This is a visual book review for an Italian-language book by Marcello Tanca entitled Geografia e fiction. Opera, film, canzone, fumetto, Scienze Geografiche, FrancoAngeli: Milan, 2020.

The book uses geographical tools and approaches to study fictional worlds within opera, films, songs and comics. Taking this proposal seriously, this book review mobilises the language of comics, usually associated with fiction, to provide a visual book review. In so doing, it takes inspiration from a recent illustrated Italian book aimed at a general audience: Giada Peterle's 2020 La geografia spiegata ai bambini: Le avventure spaziali di Alex e il signor Globo, Collezione CriticalKids, BeccoGiallo: Padua.
