Short summary
This article investigates how scientists who questioned the proposed lithium mine in Serbia were silenced or discredited. Drawing on interviews, public records, media reports, and correspondence with the mining company, it examines nine cases between 2020 and 2025. The study shows how personal attacks, legal and financial pressure, exclusion, and censorship pushed critical voices aside, narrowing public debate and making environmentally harmful development appear to be unavoidable.
